By submitting an application to the Facegiving Project, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read these carefully before participating.

1. Eligibility

‍
Applicants must be 18 years or older (or the age of majority in their state of residence) and legal residents of the United States.

‍
Faceport employees, contractors, affiliates, and their immediate family members are not eligible to apply.

‍
The application must be submitted on behalf of someone who cannot physically be with their family for Thanksgiving due to circumstances such as deployment, hospitalization, travel, or other valid reasons.

2. Submission and Deadline

‍
Applications open at 12:00 AM ET on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, and close at 5:00 PM ET on Sunday, November 24, 2024. Late, incomplete, or inaccurate applications will not be considered. Only one entry is allowed per applicant.

3. Selection Criteria

‍
Winners will be selected based on the content and detail of their application responses. Faceport will evaluate the meaningfulness of their story and the potential impact of the visit. The selection process is at the sole discretion of Faceport’s team, and all decisions are final. Up to three individuals will be chosen to participate, and winners will be notified by Tuesday, November 26, 2024 5PM ET.

4. Prize Details

‍
Winners will receive a telepresence visit facilitated by Faceport’s technology. A Faceport Helmet will be provided to a trusted family member or friend (the "Avatar") to enable the remote connection. The visit will last approximately 30–60 minutes at a mutually agreed-upon time around Thanksgiving Day or Weekend. The program is provided at no cost to the winners. No monetary or alternative compensation will be offered.

5. Participant Responsibilities

‍
The selected participant must have a trusted family member or friend to act as their Avatar. The Avatar must be substantially similar in size to the remote participant and available at the scheduled time. The participant and their family must agree to logistical coordination with Faceport to ensure the visit can be successfully conducted.

6. Marketing and Media

‍
By applying, you consent to portions of the visit being recorded by Faceport. You grant Faceport the right to use your name, likeness, story, and recorded footage for marketing purposes, media coverage, and promotional materials without additional compensation. Any content created during the visit may appear on Faceport’s website, social media, press releases, or other platforms.

7. Privacy

Faceport will collect and use personal information provided in the application solely for the purposes of evaluating and conducting the Facegiving Project. Personal data will not be shared with third parties, except as necessary to facilitate the program or as required by law. For more details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

8. Limitations of Technology

‍
Faceport’s telepresence technology is new and innovative, and while we will make a best faith effort to enable the visit, we cannot guarantee that the visit will occur without technical difficulties or interruptions. Faceport is not responsible for any failures, delays, or disruptions caused by technological limitations, network issues, or unforeseen circumstances.

9. Costs and Liabilities

Faceport will provide its services and equipment for the visit at no cost to the winners; however, Faceport is not responsible for any additional costs incurred by participants or their families (e.g., transportation, internet connectivity, or related expenses). Faceport shall not be held liable for any damages, injuries, or losses arising from participation in the Facegiving Project or the use of Faceport technology. Participation in the contest is voluntary, and participants assume all risks associated with the program.

10. No Purchase Necessary

There is no purchase or payment required to apply or participate in the Facegiving Project.

11. Void Where Prohibited

‍
The Facegiving Project is void where prohibited by law. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure compliance with local laws.

12. Agreement to Terms

By submitting an application, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions. You also confirm that all information provided in your application is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
