What is the Facegiving Project?

‍The Facegiving Project by Faceport offers the most precious gift of all: the opportunity to truly be present with loved ones, no matter the distance. Through our telepresence technology, we bring loved ones together when life’s challenges keep them apart. These are the moments that make life meaningful, and everyone deserves to feel the warmth, love, and connection of being there, even when they can’t be. At Faceport, we believe distance should never stand in the way of family.

Thanksgiving 2024: Be Present This Holiday Season

This Thanksgiving, the Facegiving Project will reunite up to three individuals with their families, helping them overcome physical distances caused by deployment, illness, or other challenges. Apply now to be part of this meaningful experience. The application deadline is Sunday, November 24, 2024, at 5 PM ET, and selected applicants will be notified by Tuesday, November 26, 2024 5PM ET.

The Visit

‍A Faceport team member will bring a Faceport Helmet at a pre-arranged time, or the Faceport Helmet may be shipped to you ahead of the visit. A trusted family member or friend will serve as the Avatar and will wear the Helmet. The Avatar should be substantially similar in size to the Caller (the person who will be "visiting" from afar). The visit will last about an hour. Please note that parts of the visit may be recorded by Faceport and may be shared for marketing purposes, including promotional content or media coverage.

The Caller (the person "visiting" from afar) will use their mobile phone or tablet to connect to the Faceport Helmet.
